M&M Food Market / Homemade-ish 🍽️

Colour + Motion/VFX + Online

Lifelong Crush came to us with a campaign about the reality of modern family dinners. Not the fantasy version. The real one. Our job was to make sure every frame felt like it.

The spot is below. Here’s how we built it.

A drive came into our Toronto hub. We ingested, built proxies, and set each team member up on a cloud-based workflow – everyone pulling from the same source, no matter where they were sitting.

Live sessions kept the feedback tight. Client, agency, and our team in the same virtual room at every key stage. Less back and forth, more making.

The grade pushed toward something warm and honest – rich enough to feel appetizing, restrained enough to feel real. Nothing over-cooked. The before/after tells the story better than we can.

The VFX work was designed to disappear. There’s a moment where someone opens an oven. We added a heat shimmer – physical, subtle, just enough to make you feel the warmth before you’ve consciously registered it. Nobody’s going to catch it. That’s exactly why it works.

The motion work was a different challenge. The delivery app on screen didn’t exist before this project. We designed it, animated it, and cut it to picture. It needed to read as real — functional, familiar — without pulling focus from the spot itself.

Three crafts, one job: stay invisible and let the story land.

Homemade-ish.

Nothing homemade about the post.
